family love notes...

this year with lainey being in kindergarten our mornings sometime leave beauie (and im sure annie too:) really missing lainey. its not everyday but every once and awhile he lets me know its time to "go pick up lainey." man, im so grateful he loves her so much. so anyway, lainey is awesome at "writing love notes" to the family. all of us. honestly its daily if not twice a day i get a little note telling me she loves me. she also is great about writing these to her daddy. she leaves them on his nightstand. she also writes them to beau and annie. yesterday i found one on the floor to annie. im going to have to be careful of this...as annie would currently "eat the paper" if she actually got it in her hand. so i'll be honest beau, annie and i do alot of book reading, coloring but rarely have gotten out any glue, paint, etc without lainey around. she is a bit more inspiring in the project area. but this am we went for it and decided to try and suprise lainey with a "family love notes" container. we basically just covered an oatmeal container and made a slit out of the top. the idea being that everyone could drop a little note inside and then on valentine's day we could read our love notes:) annie really liked the container. beau really liked helping with the glue and did a really nice job coloring some hearts.

lainey really liked the container when she got home. i think most of all she liked the fact that beau, annie and i tried to "suprise" her. by dinner time the container was more than half full. she went to work right away making all kinds of fun "love notes". we may have to make a few more containers:) lots of love going around.

annie is trying soooo hard to sit up:) she is such a precious JOY!
