annie's left ear surgery on aug 23 went incredibly smooth. thank you Jesus!!! one of the most challenging pieces was just keeping her entertained and happy waiting for surgery. our time was later on this one since we were given an adult cancellation spot due to all our insurance challenges which caused us to have to let go of our july date. it all seemed to come together beautifully in the end though. God is so good like that. even when it doesn't feel like things are coming together, He is always at work on our behalf. He takes such good care of us.
so we just couldn't let her eat all morning...that was not fun as you can imagine. she weighed in at a big 14lbs 9oz before surgery. she is little and likes to eat often. but once surgery began dr. baker said it went beautifully.

monday night when we came home annie couldn't yet sit up in her highchair. we were doing everything we could to keep her still and comfortable. so we decided to have a living room picnic.

the headwrap they have to wear the first 24-36 hours is not fun at all. its so tight and really uncomfortable and heavy. we just tried to keep her really still and comfortable. she is so tough and strong. she did amazing!!!!
