cousins visit

so i have a couple of catch up blogs...that are out of order datewise...but hey its a my blog so i guess i can do what i want. i love FREEDOM.

anyway, usually on a blog you are always saying all the nice, great things you love about your kids and i do love soooo many millions of things about my precious kids and am sooo grateful to be their mom. i think i have the best job in the whole world. yet, there are days that are a bit challenging and lessons that get learned along the way by both parent and child that aren't always pretty....

this picture reflects one of those such days. so we wanted to get the cousins together as we have in the past to celebrate a new cousin, make fun shirts, celebrate new baby owie all together. what were we thinking?? basically we all invaded allison's hospital room and for about 45 minutes it was total chaos. it sounds like i might be exaggerating...im not. we so wanted to bless alli and new baby owie perhaps that happened but it was crazy....

my son in this picture has no pants on b/c while sitting on the couch with all the cousins he totally peed out of his diaper. his shorts were totally soaked...i of course have no diaper in annie's diaper bag or change of shorts for him (whata go mom of 3...2 of which are still in diapers...lesson 1 of the day...always have beau's stuff with annie's) so i have to use a size 3 on him...he wears of 5...hoping he is not going to pee out of it too. this happens after he hits one of his cousins and i have to go take him in the tiny hospital bathroom and discipline him...all the while annie starts crying and lainey is whinning and wondering when she is going to get to hold baby owie b/c someone else already got to hold him. are you serious? and im just talking about my children...not to mention anything else that was going on in the room. allison and bryan were so full of grace! this is what gives new meaning to danny silk's teaching about the "big red button" if you don't know what im referring to i'd love to share it with you sometime. so many lessons to learn in such a short 45 minute period. and the picture above looks so peaceful and perfect.....minus one pair of pants.

millie giving out hugs.....these two are awesome!

this was right when we walked in the door....
