Go OU!!!

so im driving down lahoma the other day as i often do on the way to gingerbread b/c emily lives on that street and man i love to pray for her and for her neighbors b/c we love the bonners...their hearts and what God is doing in that area of the city. so i'm singing with beau and as we passed this house God took my eyes and literally focused them on this flag. i heard Him say in the most audible voice on the inside of me that His hand was in the beginning of OU. that crimson and white of OU were not by chance or accident. He said that the crimson represented His precious son's blood poured out for our redemption. the white represented His Holy Spirit/The dove of purity, the very Spirit of the Living God that He desposits into His Children and longs to pour out in greater measure over our city. i feel like He said everytime you see the red/white see it as a prophetic sign over your city. i feel like i heard God say very clearly, "i love Norman. i love the people in this city. my heart is to reveal myself to people in this city in a great way and to take my love, my heart to the nations!"

so i was talking to ken and beth later that night and they asked how my day was i was sharing about a couple of love encounters with people and then mentioned this word. when i told ken i said, "God told me he was with the beginning of ou sometime in the 1800's" when i got home i felt so silly. actually stupid. i was like why did i say 1800's. oklahoma didn't even become a state until 1907, nov.16, 1907 to be exact. but i felt like i was still supposed to check and see when ou was founded. so i checked it out...ou was founded in 1890...almost 17 years before oklahoma even became an official state...i had no idea! so maybe that doesn't mean much to you. but to me somehow that seems meaningful...just that OU really is a huge part of our state. with sooo many people coming into this city and being influenced within our city limits and then taking the knowledge they gain here to the utter most parts of the world...

so just check it out as you go about your day in norman (or when you come into town) red and white is everywhere in this city!

almost every building on campus and a good majority just around town have some shade of red/white....it makes me think of the part in Luke where it talks about "even the rocks will cry out"....man, i declare that God your church, the church will rise up in this city and cry out that YOU are the LIVING GOD! YOUR LOVE IS SOOOO GOOD! YOU LOVE YOUR PEOPLE!!!!
