"dabid"

beau's current favorite story is "dabid" (david and goliath). our housechurch did a little nativity play at the Friedemanns. it was really fun. lainey was gabriel....she was beautiful. annie was a little angel too. i soooo wish i would have gotten of picture of all 3 of them together. all the kids were so darling and i really think all of them had fun. one of my favorite parts was that beau really enjoyed dressing up. i think i was so shocked by it. he wanted to keep his costume on...he of course loved being "dabid" why i didn't think of this back in october i have no idea.....

allison can attest...she even tried too to get him to wear his "bam-bam" costume i made for him. of course, that is what i wanted him to wear. a great mothering lesson for me to remember "what does this look like through beau's eyes" why would he have wanted to be "bam-bam" what was i thinking? i thought it would be so fun to be a match for "pebbles" (millie). fun for me that is....clearly beau did not think any part of bam-bam was fun. clearly i was not tuned into him when i was thinking about bam-bam.

beau loves "dabid." so of course he would love dressing up as "dabid." his favorite activity with me is "mom you be giant" "i be dabid" and sometimes on a rare occasion he lets me be dabid and he is the giant.

anyway, good mothering lessons to be learned everday.
