wow...

i haven't blogged since sept. happy october now that it is the 19th! you know its bad when you get a message from maddie, half way around the world, telling mom to tell me to update my blog. sorry maddie, maggie and uncle blair. clearly i know how precious my little people are....it would be sad to not know or have seen them. truly i am so sorry. todays blog will be an attempt to catch up.
top ten updates:
10. lainey has planned her birthday party about 10 times now. i've actually heard from a couple of other moms about what she has been planning and then telling her friends. nothing too outrageous...our little friend brendan actually has a little "crush" on lainey. he told his mom that lainey told me, "he was the only boy who will be invited to her party." of course he was thrilled. lainey thought it was most interesting that i knew she had told brendan that...an early lesson for me to choose wisely when asking her about things revealed to me by another mom.
9. beau loves to be outside. i know this won't come a shocker. but i honestly have to really watch him. he wants to follow lainey outside every chance he gets.
8. he actually wants to follow lainey doing just about anything these days that lainey is doing....
7. beau has been saying, "momma, momma..." its so sweet. he truly has my heart.
6. beau also LOVES to take a bath. he hears the water running and literally comes running. if i am going to take a bath i have to make sure the door is shut or he will just jump in clothes, diaper and all.
5. lainey really misses her aunt maggie and aunt maddie. she talks about you guys ALL the time and really misses you guys. we will often ask each other, "i wonder what they are doing right now...and then we kinda play pretend as to what you guys might be doing...."
4. we went to the park for lunch after cluster today. beau climbed up the slide and slid down all by himself. it was the cutest, bravest thing. of course his big sister was at the bottom to catch him after he watched her slide down.
3. lainey beth is writting all the time. she loves to try and write new words. last week she wrote all these new words, cut them out and glued them on her chalkboard. it was very creative. but we had to have a talk about asking mom before we glue stuff on anything that's not paper and then she had to scrub the chalkboard. but it was still really creative.
2. lainey loves to play outside too. everyday she sets up a little house in the fort in the backyard. she drags out all kinds of stuff. the other night she had to get a flashlight to see stuff to bring it in. it reminds me of being little and wanting to be outside all the time.
1. baby max will be here tomorrow!!!!! my first nephew!!!!! lainey and beau's 1st boy cousin!!!!! we are super excited!
