easy bake oven

why are they so fascinating? i remember being little and thinking they were so cool. and wow...lainey thinks it is the best thing since sliced bread. (you know what i mean) she has been begging me to buy a mix. i have hesitated b/c they are like $5 for a mix that makes a not very good cake the size of 2 inches. it is really crazy. we could buy 2 boxes of brownies and make them together and they actually taste good. but...you don't get to make them in the fun little oven. so today michele was saying she had researched some "easy bake" recipes for her and brendan to make. i asked them to send them to me. lainey of course was super excited. we made the brownies this afternoon. it is such a funny recipe. it is 2 tablespoons flour, 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 and 1/2 teaspoon butter, etc. it turned out okay. we made a little icing for it and of course added some sprinkles to the top. lainey thought it was grand! beau wanted to have a bite too. good thing she saved him a bit seeing as their only like 4 bites in the whole little cake/brownie....but you get to cook it in the little oven. and we have aunt maddie to thank for our darling little easy bake oven....we were thinking about you today maddie and mag we thought of you and the fact that you will probably not be working on any easy bake recipes but if you decided to i'm sure they would be awesome...let us know if you do we will test them out. we actually have found a 2nd recipe from actual dry cake mix. so you can buy one cake mix for about 99 cents and it makes like 25 easy bake cakes...seeing as you just use 2 tablespoons of mix at a time. anyway....fun with the easy bake. mer or millie if you want to borrow it just let us know....sorry i didn't get any pics.
