yesterday we had our 3rd appt. up at the Hough Ear Institute. annie actually got little hearing aids put on yesterday. we had the molds fitted on monday. she asked us what color we wanted. mike and i looked at each other and were like we have no idea? what color do you have? sweet dr. shoemaker said she had any color we wanted. mike told her older sister we definitely want her to have pink. she asked if we wanted sparkles...we said...sure. so these tiny little hearing aids are pink with purple sparkles. amazing the wisdom God gives to doctors, researchers, etc. to be able to bless and enrich our world. annie will wear these hearing aids until we test her hearing again which will be around 6 months of age. we are continuing to stand on God's truth of His healing power. Jesus healed all that He ever come into contact with...the character of God is good and His heart is to heal. we believe Him and in His goodness. we will continue to believe that our precious annie's ears will be opened and she will hear completely.
this is her leftside hearing aid. the right one looks just the same. they said that the challenge in the beginning will be just to keep them on. her ears are so tiny that the molds are a bit of a challenge to keep in her little ear...but we are figuring it out. yesterday was a moment i will forever hold in my memory. dr.shoemaker turned her right ear aid on and i said, "annie, this is your mommy's voice. i love you baby." she turned her head and looked right into my eyes. i of course got a little teary but kept talking...telling her everything i could think of to tell her. then mike started talking to her...so sweet she looked up at him...it was amazing.
we so adore this precious 6lb bundle. she is the most amazing little girl. we love her more than words can say.

Love her, crying too. All my prayers I have been praying/proclaiming... Annie WILL hear the voice of her mother and father! She will, has, and will forever be healed, we believe that.

she is so beautiful. we are praying. we hope to see Lainey and Beau this weekend. Send their swimsuits for the slip and slide and/or pool. I will try to take some pictures for you. call me sometime.
