catch up blog

so...what have we been up to. sorry mags i haven't blogged in almost 2 weeks. what have we been doing? playing, swimming, feeding, pumping, nursing, feeding, pumping, nursing...did i mention feeding, pumping and nursing...its my fabulous full time job. i truly do love it. but it is alot of what we do. i will say annie is getting bigger...we haven't weighed her in almost 10 days but i bet she's hit the 7lb mark? maybe. lainey and beau have been doing great...they actually have gotten the routine down and since it happens every 2-3 hours i think the frequency is actually been helpful to work on our PATIENCE this summer. what great lessons...everyday!

okay so today i took all 3 of them with me for annie's 2 appt. i was feeling a little brave and man, i have to say it was better than i thought. lainey and beau were really good and i think making it an "adventure" seemed to help. they got to meet lots of new people, see lots of new things and get a treat at charcoal grill...what a great afternoon.

this pic of them "waiting"(clearly lainey was ready to get in the car) was outside OU Children's we were waiting on the valet guys. they were slammed. there is no where to park up there really close...i've never been so grateful for valet parking ever! what a fabulous service for mom's with kids. we were lined up everywhere. lots of cute kiddos.

we had to first go to the GI office, then on to the lab. they got to watch annie get her blood drawn. lainey was a little more observant and concerned about annie being in pain. beau was more interested in the giant blue gorilla hanging from the ceiling.

then on to Baptist, Hough clinic, to get annie's 3 set of ear molds. oh, in between we stopped at charcoal grill. love that place. hard to believe its been there since 1958...mom and dad were 9 and 10. this summer lainey's been all about "rootbeer floats" i told her charcoal grill had awesome rootbeer floats...after we got hers she said, "mom, you were right!" it was really cute.

okay so it happens to be "wednesday" mags is so good about "way back wednesday" lainey and i were looking at this pic today. its a classic...i love it. we were missing aunt mags especially today. perhaps because we were in "maggie city" most of the afternoon, we were right by her old house, etc. talking about maggie. i've often thought lately how much i wished you still lived in the city as were are up there so much lately. but we are sooooo pumped for you and blair's new adventure in napa and so grateful you all have LOVED boston so very, very much. we pray blessings over you during all your moving details.

lainey highly recommends the "rootbeer" float. she says the only better place that beats charcoal grill is the Interurban! she says the Urb has the best "rootbeer" floats in the entire world! it must be there specialty "uglymug"rootbeer.
