*******************************************lainey has been working so hard on learning to read. beth recommended this book we've been working through the last several months. i would highly recommend it. Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons by Siegfried Engelmann. lainey has enjoyed it and its an easy step-by-step instruction for parents on teaching their kiddos to read. i would even recommend doing it a year earlier than i did. maybe summer before entering kindergarten. it does take some time to work through all 100 lessons. looking back it was a wonderful afternoon investment of time with lainey while beau and annie were napping. she really looked forward to our afternoon "reading time" together. really just time with mom:) oh, how i enjoy this precious, amazing 6 year old! she has a wonderful way of making everything fun.
