Lainey is a first grader at Monroe!
wow. mike and i can hardly believe it. we were sharing favorite memories last night. mike said it seems like yesterday we brought her home from the hospital and he held her all night long on my chest because he didn't want to put her down.
this morning was a sweet, peaceful morning. there is something so fun about walking to school...or riding your scooter:)

***********************************************************************************ok, i will admit as we found her desk, i almost burst into tears. but thankfully i held it together:) she gets to sit right across from her new friend samantha...she was really excited about that:)
***************************************************************************************this is mrs. riley. lainey is really excited to be in her class. she has been a 1st grade teacher in colorado for 10 years and just moved back to norman. so, she is new to monroe too.
*********************************************************************************************guess who got to ride lainey's scooter home?? he was pretty pumped. mike was giving him instructions to stay close because of all the cars. he said, "yeah, dad, i can handle it."
