BUG WALK

this is a pic of lainey and her new friend, addie. they were sooo cute searching for bugs.lainey beth had a field trip tuesday at gingerbread...THE BUG WALK. beau and i got to go. it was so fun! there were about 16 adults on the walk...we found all kinds of bugs. they had made cute little bug holders out of left over plastic containers with holes in the top with wire over the holes...so the bugs could breathe of course! we caught lots of rollie pollies...alot. and almost caught a butterfly and a dragon fly...but the craziest attempt (if you can even call it that...we didn't try very hard)...was a wolf spider. lainey likes to refer to it as a "beetle" lainey was holding our container, beau was on my back and lets just say we flipped over the rock and there was a very large spider we were not prepared for....



















this pic is super fuzzy...but its my only pic with beau. emily let me borrow her backpack which was awesome for beau. he loved it. he was in for about 2 1/2 hours and didn't fuss once. i think he enjoyed the bugwalk...and all the kids.



















this was a pic of snacktime after the bug hunt. it was actually more like a feast. chicken nuggets, apples, carrots, cheese, crackers, juice. lainey was sitting by her buddy addie.























this is "teacher skye" she is awesome. honestly, we really, really like her so very much. she is such a specialist in early childhood development. i honestly feel like i learned several things from her on our first night...parent meeting. she is delightful. lainey really, really likes her so much! her mom started gingerbread. i think she has been teaching at gingerbread for close to 20 years.
