sweet cousins...

lainey and i have been into reading little "mini-series" books. most recent, that lainey has been into, are these little american girl series. we've been checking them out from the library. which is always fun to watch lainey get so excited to go check out the next one, find it, make sure its the next in the series, etc....the whole process. i've actually had to audit (some of the topics are a smidge advanced for lainey) a few and some we have chosen not to read...but for the most part they have been innocent and actually interesting and somewhat educational (though that might be a bit of a stretch). you all are familiar...every american girl has a "era" that they are attached to....okay this is going somewhere i promise. so our most recent reading has been with "Kaya" she is a NezPerce indian. the stories are full of their history, way of life, etc. its actually prompted some interesting discussions with lainey...of course great questions. but one part they talk about is what made me think of our precious cousins. in the winter the nez perce tribe would all journey to one location and spend the winter in one big stucture together: grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and of course lots and lots of cousins. they made a point to say the cousins grew up like siblings. which made me of course think of our precious cousins and how super grateful we are to be living so close to each other and getting to "grow up" together....we love you guys and miss aunt mags, aunt maddie and blair so much.

i hope you guys enjoy this short clip and beau and millie in the pink car together. millie loves playing in this...she is so precious. you can already see that they really love each other. they still are not old enough to really "play together" they do alot more of just playing along side each other....but occassionally they have been known to get each other laughing..its so cute. i will try and capture that for you guys you would love it. i also love that beau, even as young as he is gets excited to see "ma" (that's beau for max). he had a runny nose the other day and man mike caught him just in time before he planted a big wet slimy kiss on max's mouth. whata save max from some germs dad! he just loves mr. smiley so much. my favorite memory from this last week was sunday during praise and worship at celebration. i was between meredith and lainey beth. it was a sweet, sweet memory...i will treasure they were both just singing there little hearts out to Jesus. love these little people!
