wonderful wednesdays....

wednesdays since last august have been lainey beth and i special day together, just her and i. beau goes to mother's day out this one day a week and it gives lainey and i some really special one-on-one time together. as the year has gone on and of course as i think of her being at half-day kindergarten this next year im super grateful for our time together. in our time together on wednesdays we have such fun conversation, things tend to "come out" in our "carefree timelessness" with one another....its been so fun to really just be with my daughter and sew into our relationship. wednesdays do consist of a "game plan" lainey of course is always the helper with this as to what our "day together" will be....we always do gymnastics with her best friend esperanza. it is a 45 min. class at bart conner....she of course loves it! esperanza's family just put an offer on a house a street over from us...we are so pumped! the girls are thrilled. they will be in kindergarten at gingerbread together this next year...we love gingerbread! they are so excited about being "kindies" its really fun teacher alicia will be one of her "kindie" teachers. teacher alicia's daughter, tenia (maddie and maggie...i think you know her) she was in the Bible study i did at pitchlynn's for almost 7 years. tenia is now teaching in the "elf" class...so when the kids all go out to play (all the classes are together at this time) lainey has gotten to know teacher tenia. its so fun when things come full circle. teacher alicia was always so kind to me when i taught the girls and now her daughter is teaching my daughter. its so fun how God weaves relationships together. okay so on to the rest of our wednesday of this week.....

so lainey and i went to lunch at pei wei and ran into our good friends angie, dax and pictured above precious crew. it has been so fun that they moved to norman. it was really fun running into them at lunch and let me tell you this little crew is a pure delight! he is less than a year old and is full of personality that lights up a room and full of affection as you can see. i couldn't resist snapping a picture and you guys know how i am slow at remembering to do this. and mags...i tried not to chop anyone's head off...i've been known to do this. im working on my picture taking skills....all help welcome. anyway by the time i got my camera out of my purse (shocker i even had it) lainey had already counted 6 kisses precious little crew had given her. he even gave one to me. this little guy is a doll! needless to say...lainey and i loved running into our sweet friends.

after lunch....right before we picked up beau we picked up mer from music school. we had to run a quick errand and the girls both jumped out of the car hand in hand and fully looking glam with their sunglasses. i had to snap a quick pic...these two are super sweet to each other when they choose to be...i would go as far as to say best buddies on a good day.

so wrapping up wednesday...i know i can hear maggie and maddie going what is that? so lainey and i soaked our edible bean pod seeds...but somehow failed to check the weather. needless to say its been way to cold the last several days to plant anything. so we are hoping these little guys will germinate in our make shift bathroom greenhouse...we will keep you posted on that. im sure you are really concerned about my seeds. keeping beau out of them might be the biggest challenge. lainey has really gotten into helping me in the yard. of course there are so many wonderful lessons that reside in planting, pruning, cultivating, reaping, etc. i don't know if you guys remember my story of last year with these seeds. but how i really felt like God told me one morning to go ask the "master garden" about them. when i got there the lady i had talked to before wasn't there...just another gentleman. i sensed the Lord say, "just ask him." so i did and he opened the gate and said come with me. he was getting ready to plant that morning the very seeds i was needing information about. i know it was just a silly seed (which our bean plants were awesome last season...truly amazing) to most but to me it spoke volumes to my heart....God is in every detail of our lives. God's nature is so good and pure...He cares about all the little things. that man told me about a place you could get free compost later that day we drove out to find it...i kid you not the Lord showed Lainey and i the most beautiful yellow almost glowing bird we had ever seen in our lives. it literally led us to the compost. (i had made a wrong turn and the bird walked down the fence. i know it sounds crazy but the bird kept flipping its head back like, "go back you missed it" and sure enough we went back and there was all the free compost you could ever want. i asked lainey while we were planting these beans if she remembered the yellow bird. she said, mom how could i forget it was the most beautiful yellow bird i have ever seen. she said "what i remember is that it was staring right into our car." i believe God can speak to us through anything He chooses. May we "incline our ear and come to Him. when we hear Him our soul shall live." Is.55:3 its so fun to me to think about the fact that there is LIFE in HIS VOICE. Our good Father desires to speak to us all the time. His Presence is so sweet, so full of His nature. He desires to speak to us even through a bird and even about compost and bean seeds....He is so rich and vast and His desire for intimacy with us is beyond our comprehension. May we be captivated by our God today. i love you guys....
