tonight is lainey's 1st official spend-the-night with a friend. she is so excited. esperanza was supposed to spend the night last night and at the last minute had to cancel. she got a typhoid shot yesterday b/c they are going to China in september to get her new baby sister, Valencia Ruth. esperanza's parents are adopting valencia and esperanza gets to go to China with them. so after the shot, esperanza's mom thought it might be better to wait till tonight to spend the night. lainey was pretty sad. we even had a few tears. but then she decided to pray for esperanza to feel better. today when we found out for sure she could come lainey quite loudly said, "yeah, God answered my prayers!" so tonight esperanza is spending the night. lainey has been planning their activities all week and would tell anyone who would listen all about it...im sure it will be a fun filled evening.
