this was our monster hike. it was a 2.8mile hike that was fairly steep in parts with various terrain. i will admit i was sucking air for a good part of the hike and was very sore after it. it was quite a workout. this is lainey and maddie at the END of the hike. lainey did AWESOME! honestly she was a so tough. we kept cheering her on and at one point i asked her if she was doing okay and she said, "mom, im tough as nails!" i said "why yes you are my dear." honestly lainey's endurance and perserverance on the hike were my favorite highlights. when we finally got to the falls that was pretty sweet and made the climb well worth all the effort but the highlight was by far...lainey's toughness.
if you are wondering if annie lived in the mobi wrap while we were in colorado...why yes she did. i think 80% of pics she is in the mobi wrap...all snug and warm.
beau and maddie had this little fun game on the way down. where maddie would run ahead aways and then jump out of some bush or thicket and yell "suprise!" beau loved it and thought it was soooo fun.
angie's dad's house has the fabulous window seat. the windows open up to the fantastic view of the peaks. the view is incredible. it was the perfect spot to read in the afternoons as the warm sunshine floods in....annie and her daddy actually took a little catnap together in the windowseat...so peaceful together.
