Christmas Eve Dinner at Mom-Mom and PaPa's

********************************
We had a really special Christmas Eve dinner at mom-mom and papa's house. mom-mom set a beautiful table with the "flo blue" china. this china has been passed down through generations on our dads side of the family. its actually more beautiful in person. we all enjoy mom-mom telling the history of these dishes. its really amazing to think of how many people have eaten off these dishes: gathering together for family dinners in so many different celebrations of life. there is something really sweet that happens in just sharing simple meals with one another. clearly there have been countless meals shared on these dishes above. its fun for me to think about stuff like that...
anyway our meal was super yummy mom-mom and papa's white chili...it was awesome! aunt maggie and aunt maddie made these delicious homeade ice cream sandwiches. i think lainey snuck a "few" extras in over the course of the night. she truly has my sweet tooth. we played animal bingo, tossed salad and papa read the christmas story to all of us. we are really thankful for our family. we love you guys.
