Noni and Nana Gail's Christmas traditions...

*******************************
this is lainey beth blowing out the candle for Jesus' birthday cake (it was actually a super yummy ice cream pie) this is a family tradition that nana gail always does for the grandkids and now the great grandkids are getting to join it too. the other wonderful tradition nana gail does is to pre-write out the scriptures on pieces of paper that tell the Christmas story. each person in the family, who can read, gets a Bible. (she has been a sunday school teacher for over 50+ years) and then as an entire family we read the Christmas story. she gives each person certain verses to read of the story. this begins with the prophecies in the old testament and tells the story through the birth of Christ, His life, His death on the cross, His Resurrection and ends with His invitation to every person today to walk with Jesus and know His powerful love today. it's really, really special familytime.

yesterday noni invited lainey over for one of lainey's favorite "noni traditions" noni and lainey and aunt aubrey have a special christmas craft time each year. they make sweet homeade gifts to give to all lainey's aunts, mom-mom and me. lainey of course had a wonderful time! i think it will be quite sometime until beau can begin to participate in this tradition lainey said.
